A Creature of habit is owned and operated by Claire Francis a registered veterinary nurse. I cover the area's of Balham, Brixton, Clapham North & South, Streatham, Tooting and West Norwood. Other nearby area's are considered.

Having lived and worked in London for many years in various veterinary practices I noticed that clients were having trouble getting relaible and experienced people to cater for thier pets needs while they are at work or on holiday. I decided to set up 'A Creature of Habit' with a view to providing the most common pet related services outside of the veterinary practice.

I have a common sence approach to working with animals and aim to help you and your pets needs. 

About me

I am a registered vet nurse and have been working with animals for 15 years starting off at my local cats protection league to Battersea  Dogs home, The Blue Cross and RSPCA and a few local private practices and am very experienced in giving any medications that your animal may require.

I also have a degree in animal biology and conservation and have worked for many wild animal welfare charity's including Born Free and Animals Asia where I worked with rescued Asiatic black bears in China for a year.

I am currently studying a diploma in animal behaviour counciling at Southampton University and will be able to offer a full referal behaviour consulation service in the future. I am a provisional member of the APBC, Association of Pet Behaviour Councillors.
